World Space Week is an international celebration of science and technology, and their contribution to the betterment of the human condition. The United Nations General Assembly declared in 1999 that World Space Week will be held each year from October 4-10. These dates commemorate two events:
World Space Week consists of space education and outreach events held by space agencies, aerospace companies, schools, planetaria, museums, and astronomy clubs around the world in a common timeframe. These synchronized space events attract greater public and media attention.
The initiative is coordinated by the United Nations with the support of the World Space Week Association (WSWA). The WSWA leads a global team of National Coordinators, who promote the celebration of World Space Week within their own countries.
The goals of the World Space Week are to:
We are honoured to be a part of such an important initiative; to showcase our technology and to inspire the participants with the marvellous possibilities it carries for the space industry, at same encouraging young people to pursue their education within the fascinating field of science by sparking their interest in the topic.

“– I am very pleased to be here with you. It makes my heart grow to see such an event organized, to see the willingness to act [to spread the interest about science and space] and that so many volunteers could have devoted this weekend to something else, but they chose to partake in such an initiative. Seeing that makes one want to live. Many thanks to the organizers for the invitation and the opportunity to share with you a bit of what we do, too”, said Olga expressing her gratitude.
The conference has been transmitted online in real time. If you missed the event but would still want to watch the presentation by Saule Technologies’ CTO and Co-Founder Olga Malinkiewicz, you can find it here [in Polish]:
