We are delighted to announce that Saule has joined the international thin-film solar industry association, PVthin.
Perovskite solar modules hold a great potential to make renewable energy production even more sustainable. The manufacturing at Saule Technologies is based on abundant raw materials, and utilizes low temperatures in ambient conditions to fabricate ultra-thin photovoltaics. These features make our technology an excellent candidate to have an immense contribution towards achieving a low carbon economy, by significantly cutting back the energy payback time (EPBT) of the solar modules, and the levelized cost of electricity (LCOE) generated by them. There are a range of research studies already published about the life cycle analysis (LCA) of perovskite based solar cells with excellent and promising results.
At Saule, we are dedicated to take all these amazing value propositions
of perovskites to the next level, by creating a technology that is available
for a broad range of applications. We have to ensure that while doing so,
we take utmost care about the environment – maximizing benefits and reducing any potential risks to the bare minimum. Hence, we are excited
to take the next steps – and join a coalition that will help us in achieving these targets.
PVthin is dedicated to promoting thin film photovoltaics technology with a focus on supporting a low-carbon economy, responsible product management, resource-saving production with sustainable raw materials and efficient PV recycling. This partnership will help to increase public awareness of the environmental, social, economic and technological benefits of thin film photovoltaic technologies.
Another great step forward towards a greener planet!
