Saule Technologies Is the Industrial Partner in the International ESPResSo Project

Saule Technologies is the industrial partner in a 3-year long project funded with 5 million euros by the European Union. This collaboration among some of the greatest European institutions in the development of perovskites aim to take photovoltaics based on them to the next level.
ESPResSo targets alternative cost effective materials, novel cell concepts and architectures, and advanced processing know-how and equipment to overcome the limitations of current state of the art. The challenge is now to transfer the unprecedented progress of the perovskite technology from its cell level into a scalable, stable, low-cost technology on module level.
Saule will mainly focus on the integration of the new knowledge to produce a series of new perovskite based solar devices for the chosen end-user applications by boosting the scale up process. Moreover, Saule will be responsible for the fabrication of arbitrary-shaped and flexible modules.
The members of this consortium include organizations pursuing fundamental research, applied research centers working on renewables and the scale-up of perovskite solar cells, as well as material and equipment developers and industrial units.
