We are looking for a scientist to join the research team working on the development of a thin-film functional coating deposition process for novel optoelectronic applications.
The successful candidate will have documented experience in thin-film deposition techniques, optical modeling and various characterization methods. He/she will be enthusiastic to work in a collaborative research environment with a proactive attitude and creative thinking.

The main responsibilities will include:

    • – Use of different thin-film deposition methods, including atomic layer deposition, magnetron sputtering, thermal evaporation
    • – Optoelectronic, electrical and structural characterization of the materials and devices
    • – Performing optical modeling and extensive use of ellipsometry
    • – Assembling thin-film optoelectronic devices
    • – Design of experiments and development of the scientific projects
    • – Compliance with the quality and health standards
    • – Supporting Saule team in achieving their goals

We would like you to:

    • – PhD degree in physics, chemistry, materials science, or related discipline
    • – 5+ years of research experience in optoelectronics/thin-film deposition/transparent conductive electrodes
    • – Substantial experience in thin-film deposition techniques, such as atomic layer deposition, magnetron sputtering, thermal evaporation
    • – Good understanding and working knowledge of ellipsometry
    • – Experience with optical modeling and transfer matrix method
    • – Experience with transparent conductive electrodes and thin-film materials with barrier properties
    • – Good understanding and knowledge of optics, semiconductor physics, and solid-state chemistry
    • – Working knowledge of a range of electrical and optical characterization methods
    • – Experience of working in a commercial research environment would be advantageous
    • – Data-driven with strong documentation and reporting skills
    • – Good communication skills, initiative, independent thinking
